How to share your notebooks with the world
When you create a new notebook, it is set as “private” by default so that only you can view, edit, and delete its contents. To “publish” a notebook and make it available for anyone to view, follow these steps:
- In Evernote Web, click the notebook you want to make public, then select Settings from the Actions drop-down list; in Evernote for Mac, right-click the notebook you want to make public, then select Settings from the pop-up menu.
- Check the Publish box.
- Enter a notebook identifer and description.
- Change the note sort order if you wish.
- Click OK.
A public notebook can be viewed by anyone who knows the direct URL, which you can share if you'd like. Here is a sample public notebook.
